A beginner’s guide to pour-over coffee
All you need is a dripper, a kettle and four minutes. Our no-fuss recipe for a clean, sweet cup.

Pour-over has a reputation for being fussy. It doesn’t need to be. This is the recipe our team brews every morning at the warehouse.
You’ll need
- 20 g freshly ground coffee (medium-fine)
- 320 g water just off the boil
- A dripper, filter and carafe
- Four minutes
The method
Rinse the filter with hot water. Add the coffee, pour 50 g of water to wet it all and wait 30 seconds. Then pour the rest slowly in circles, finishing by 2:30. Let it drain and enjoy.
